Athletic Club Boise Announces 2026 Inaugural Season Schedule
Home opener vs. Spokane, headline home dates, and national road tests shape debut campaign
Boise, Idaho — Athletic Club Boise today announced its full 2026 USL League One regular season and Prinx Open Cup schedule, setting the stage for the club’s inaugural professional season in Boise. The 38-match campaign begins March 7 and runs through October 24, marking a historic first year of professional soccer in the Treasure Valley.
The 2026 season will be the largest in USL League One history and includes league play, a single-elimination playoff format, and participation in the Prinx Tires USL Cup, an interleague
competition featuring clubs from both USL League One and the USL Championship. The Cup creates opportunities to play up, face higher-division opponents, and compete for silverware beyond the regular season.
A Stage-Setting Home Opener
Athletic Club Boise will play its first-ever home match on Saturday, April 4, hosting Spokane Velocity FC at the Athletic Club Boise Stadium at Expo Idaho. The matchup immediately establishes a Pacific Northwest rivalry and gives Boise fans their first chance to experience professional soccer at home.
That rivalry continues on June 6, when Athletic Club Boise travels north to face Spokane Velocity FC on the road, reinforcing an early regional storyline in the club’s debut season.
Headline Home Dates
The 2026 home schedule includes several standout fixtures, highlighted by visits from Monterey Bay FC on May 16 and Sacramento Republic FC on July 11. Both clubs bring Championship pedigree and
national recognition, making their trips to Boise significant benchmarks in Athletic Club Boise’s first season.
Athletic Club Boise will host the New York Cosmos on September 11, welcoming one of American soccer’s most historic brands to Boise for one of the most anticipated home matches of the year.
USL Cup Play Brings Championship Competition
Athletic Club Boise will compete in Group 1 of the Prinx Tires USL Cup, facing a demanding slate of opponents: Las Vegas Lights FC, Monterey Bay FC, Spokane Velocity FC, Sacramento Republic FC, and Oakland Roots SC.
Group play runs from April 25 through July 11, with group winners and one wild card advancing to the knockout rounds in August and September.
A Season Built for Momentum
Across league and Cup play, Athletic Club Boise will balance high-energy home dates with challenging road environments, including a trip to Las Vegas Lights FC, one of the league’s most distinctive away venues. The regular season concludes on October 24 on the road against Fort Wayne FC, another expansion club, in a fitting finale to both clubs’ first League One campaigns.
“This schedule is exactly what you hope for — home and away against every league opponent,” said Athletic Club Boise VP of Soccer Jeremy Fishbein. “We’re excited to build one of the best environments in the USL at home and to measure ourselves in a variety of venues across the league. It’s a season Boise can rally around from day one.”
Additional details regarding tickets, broadcasts, and matchday programming will be announced in the coming months. Additional games may be announced as the season opener draws near.
