He has since gained experience in North American and European competitions, including MLS NEXT Pro, the Canadian Premier League, and the League of Ireland First Division. Notably, Hanson became the first player from Yukon to sign and play professionally, representing a milestone for soccer development in Canada’s northern territories.

A product of the Fluminense FC youth system, where he scored prolifically at junior levels, he gained valuable experience with FC Porto B in Portugal and Defensor Sporting in Uruguay during loan stints. A product of Utah Valley University, Yehya established himself as one of the top attacking players in the Western Athletic Conference, earning the WAC Golden Boot as the league’s leading goal scorer during his collegiate career. He further sharpened his game in USL League Two with Ballard FC, joining the squad in 2025. Known for his pace, attacking versatility, and ability to create chances out wide or in advanced positions, he brings energy, creativity, and offensive depth to the club.
Timeline: Yehya began his collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton (2019–2021), including a redshirt season and the COVID-impacted year when the program did not compete, before appearing in matches during the 2021 season. He then moved to Saint Mary’s for the 2022 season, where he featured in seven matches and produced four goals and two assists. Ahead of the 2023 season, Yehya transferred to Utah Valley, where he earned All-WAC recognition in 2023 (and 2024) and followed it with a breakout 2024 campaign in which he led the WAC in goals (12) and earned additional conference honors.
